Eric and Brittany Ray

We had a wedding tonight.
Not sure if you remember few months ago we went to Donna and Cliff's 50th birthday party....well tonight was Cliff's brother, Brian's son's wedding. Brian and Ronda have three fabulous children.
(We went to high school with them too!)
Their oldest, Eric, was married tonight to a terrific young lady, Brittany.
We met Brittany at Donna & Cliff's party. Beautiful & so sweet!

Worked. Had Lunch with G'ma at Palm Beach Bagel. She seems to be healing well and she looked great! We both had Greek Omelette's with tomatoes, no potato & no bagel. Stayed at work 'til 6. After met hubs at home. Went to Sissy's place to check on some stuff at the house since they're away. Went to Olive Garden with Hubs for dinner. It was awful. Gonna try for hot yoga in the morning. Home tonight, on the couch with hubs, watching a 21 Jumpstreet marathon. Nice! Good Sabbos! Enjoy the weekend. Prayers for Branny.

Worked.

Was on the way to BlueFin for sushi lunch with Miss Katie, but ran into one of the guys from the office in the elevator who told us the Office Manager was taking 10 guys there for lunch. Ewwwww. Not relaxing. So we tried a new place called Japango. So cute! Very yummy. We had fun. They had cool choices in their rolls. One had shrimp, arugula and gorgonzola! How cool does that sound? We didn't get that one though. LOL..we got regular stuff like shrimp and tuna, but we'll definitely go back. Love finding new places! Tomorrow I'm having lunch with my very favorite gal. Gma! Can't wait.

Worked 'til 6:15 then left to weigh in at WW. I lost 5 1/4 pounds in 10 days. Down a total of 29.8. 30 pounds here I come! I LOVE WEIGHT WATCHERS!!! ...and HOT YOGA.
Katie read somewhere that in hot yoga we burn 1200 calories a class! That's like a whole day of food! So thankful I'm on a good path. Let's hope I keep it up!

So, as you probably know, I will be turning 50 in less than two weeks. My healthy lifestyle changes have not only helped make me look and feel better, it's done major good for my insides. 50 is a major milestone in my book. I have lost a few friends who passed away at just around 50. I've always thought that if you make it past 50, you're ok 'til old age. Time will tell. This whole birthday thing has make me painfully aware of how fast time really does fly by.

This morning my friend Lloyd posted the picture on the left. The littlest guy on the left is Gregory. He was 3. That's me in the back on the left. I was 26. I remember this day like it was yesterday. I can't believe it was 24 years ago. It went fast fast fast I tell ya. I remember we were all at the Coconut Grove Hotel for Easter. We had brunch. There was a piano in the room. Someone started playing. Others sang. (Show tunes of course!) ...and it was one of the best times in my life! Great dressers, fabulous dancers, terrific party throwers. I loved hanging with the guys. I'm sure they contributed to the fact I stayed single for 20 years after I got divorced. LOL. Love them.

I also found this picture on Facebook. Another group of "friends". These guys are actually a choir that came from Toronto to sing at our temple one year. Awesome! Me and the boys. As usual. Just the way I like it! :) (I'm the "blonde" in the middle) This picture was actually taken in HOOTERS of all places. LOL Maybe all of them weren't gay. Only some. Gotta love it!

Today was work. Then hot yoga. I didn't have lunch. Only coffee, some yogurt & blueberries. Too many butterflies in my belly today. I'm worried about everything going on in NJ. Cosmo, my neph's crazy dog, didn't do too well on his plane trip to NJ. He had to spend the night in the hospital. (Nervous belly)

Big neph is still in the hospital. My little sis has slept there all but one night. Little neph slept at the hospital with them last night. (He's delish!) I think I might try to go up there. My sis needs me, she just doesn't know it yet! If you guys are out there reading this, would you please think good thoughts for big neph? He has suffered so much and really deserves to get well. He's such an awesome person.

Donna, Phil, Katie, Michael, Gregory, Lynne, and anyone else out there, ...if you guys are reading this, please close your eyes for a minute, and picture big neph healthy again.
...and if you say prayers, could you please keep him in yours?
Thank you. I love you guys!

Monday MEMORIAL DAY

I've often wondered why on Memorial Day we say "Happy Memorial Day".
To me it's an oxymoron...kinda like jumbo shrimp, but I digress.
Today I read the following quote:
"We come, not to mourn our dead soldiers, but to praise them." Francis A. Walker.

It was then that I realized that Memorial Day is a celebration of life. The life of the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Thank you, and G-d Bless all our troops.

What better way to celebrate the lives of these brave men and women than with a bbq? :) We went to Jenn and Stu's for some McFarland burgers!

Stu's family are cattle farmers.
He gets the meat direct from the farm.
Can you say ... ohmygoodnesshowdelicious!!!

My rosemary sweet potatoes and black truffle broccoli.

Stuey Booeys buns and meat. :)
His latest creation...The Mitch burger.
Medium rare with homemade queso. Unreal! (The plain one in the back is mine...and I only had half.)

This is Jayda. Joey and Jenny's little girl. McKenzie's cousin! She's so sweet!

Look at the two bald guys. Ain't they sweet?

Hotties.

Babes, bubbles, burgers, baldies, brews and babies.

Who could ask for more than that?

Saturday evening...Sunday

After our busy day at Mizner Park on Saturday, we did a few errands and the fun continued... We went to Zed 451, this new cool restaurant in Boca. We walked in. Looked around. Asked questions as though we were thinking of having a party there. Got the royal treatment. Mr G is in the restaurant business so he knew what to ask. I think they thought we were from the Restaurant Association.
We're such jokers. It was fun!

We went to Royal Palm Plaza around 8. We had dinner at Bangkok of Boca. Mr. G had a teriyaki chicken dinner. Not sure he liked it too much. (He's a bit picky about his food.) Hubs and I eat anything! ...and usually like it! Hmmmm, could be why we struggle with our weight.

Anyway, once again, a restaurant we liked. I ordered the sweet chili prawns. My goodness they were delish!!! I would
show you what they looked like, but I
ate them so fast, this is all that's left.

Sunday morning came and I had to take him to the airport. :( We had a great time with Mr. Gorgeous here. We ran around, ate, drank, talked, visited. It was great. We could all use a rest now.

Miss you Mr G. Love you zillions.
