HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Mildred.
I adore you!

Work was better today. I think I'm gonna take the day off on Friday. That means four (4) straight days with no work! You can tell I've been working with my boss for a long time now. First, taking a day off was actually his idea. Then not only did he tell me to take the day off, he told me I can't sleep late and stay home on the computer if I take off. He told me that I need to go to yoga and to the beach. LOL. How many of you even have bosses that tell you to take off? ...and then tell you what to do while you're off? He's the best. Went for Sushi with Katie today. Tried a new roll. The Key West. Had shrimp, eel, avocado, asparagus and brown rice. It was good. I still love the roll with the mango best. After lunch and a few more hours of work, I went to Hot Yoga. Didn't do as well as last night, but every day is different. Still loved it. Came home and wondered what to make for dinner. Opened the refrigerator and Hubs had left me a half of another amazing sanny. A triple decker turkey, with bacon, cheddar, and jalapeƱos. Of course I doctored it up. Threw out the bread. Used my one point whole wheat wrap and removed the cheddar, but it was still yummoliscious! Now just home. Watching TV. Playing on Facebook and hanging with the dogs.

Big shout out to Grandma Mildred. (Hubs' Grandma)
Today is her birthday! She is the coolest lady around.
Mildred is smart, beautiful, talented, loving, kind, strong, fun and sassy.
So glad she's my family now too. Love you to pieces Gma!
Happiest of birthdays to you!

Soooooooo busy at work. We really need a vacation! Hubs and I didn't go away at all in 2009, and now half of 2010 has already passed. We'd better make a plan, fast!

As for food, today the office had breakfast catered. I had a half of a bagel with a schmear of cc and a coffee. Then I had a peach yogurt, a banana, some blueberries and a mango, right off my girlfriend Jacques tree! Yum. Then a 4 point Smart One.

After work was Hot Yoga. I was so stressed out after the day I had today at work, and I did the best yoga ever. Peaceful schmeaceful. I think stressed works wonders! Arrived home about 9:00pm to a yummy dinner prepared by my Hubby. A spinach salad, roasted brussels sprouts and cauliflower with some turkey breast. Delicious! Now on the couch, watching the new season of "Rescue Me". Have "Shutter Island" and "Alice in Wonderland" here from Netflix. Haven't seen them yet.

Happy to report my Daddy is feeling much better and is doing great! Hi Branny. Love you. :) Decided to reschedule my 7th 50th birthday celebration 'til after my Sissy and Big Neph come down so we can all celebrate together! Nothing else new today. Here's a photo I took of bamboo.

Work today was productive. Didn't eat lunch. Went to Weight Watchers. Lost 1.5. Met up with Hubs and Bro in Law for some dinner after weigh in. Had sushi at "Tempted". Nice. Now home watching TV and still checking out all the photos on Facebook from the reunion. I really had such a great time! Daddy's doing better. Still praying for Big Neph. Supposed to have my 7th 50th birthday party on Saturday at Matteo's with 12 friends, but I'll probably cancel it. Gonna wait for my sister to come down. Mommy's birthday is Friday. Oy! What am I gonna send her? Oh well. Just thinking out loud. Hope you are all enjoying your Monday. Here's a picture of Lauri, Wendy and me. The three amigas!

Sunday brunch with the family.
Celebrated our 4th anniversary and Gma's birthday.
Nice brunch at a local hotel.
After, Hubs went to work and I went to Publix for weekly food.
Then, rest of the day on the couch reading all the Facebook posts about the reunion.
We really had a blast!

Here's a pic of Hubs and his parents.

...and well, I forgot to get a pic of Gma, so here's a pic of her leaving in her car! :)
Hey! Rough weekend.
It's the best I could do!

Moving on is simple.
It's what we leave behind that's hard.

Saturday was my High School reunion. It would actually have been my 32nd year after graduating. What they had was an "All classes of the 70's" reunion. I graduated in '78, so I went! I hopped a ride with my nearest and dearest, Lauri. She graduated in 1980 but she was going with her sister Wendy who graduated in 1976. So we all went together. It was so much fun! I posted some pictures, and will put some names, but I posted all of the photos on Facebook. So click the link on the left of the main blog page if you wanna see more! Send me a friend request, with a note telling me that you saw my blog and wanna see more pics, and I'll friend you. Enjoy.

This blogpost is for Friday.

Today was our 4th wedding anniversary!

We have been together for almost 6 years now. Wow! That's a record. ...for both of us!

Hubs sent beautiful flowers to the office.
(Lilly's and wildflowers!)

My Mommy and Daddy sent us flowers too. (Orchids)

I gave him a picture of me. LOL...From Adele's Bat Mitzvah. In a frame we already had...With a card that said "Happy Father's Day" that I crossed out and wrote "Happy Anniversary". Who's better than me?

He gave me a beautiful charm bracelet!

...and he took me me to a restaurant I've been wanting to go to in Ft Lauderdale. Sublime. It's Vegan. It was very cool.
Here we are in the restaurant. The happy couple.
Here's me.
Here's hubs.
Here we are again. LOL

The evening's festivities began with an artichoke, garlic and oil and some panko breadcrumbs.. Delish.

Then we both had salads. Caesar for my man and a spring mix for me. So fresh and yummy.

Hubs had a whole wheat pizza with basil and soy cheese...

I had a portabello stack. Mushroom, spinach, red pepper, tomatoes and potatoes, and side of cauliflower mash. Yummo.

We ended the food frenzy with an order of hot apple oatmeal bake and a scoop of vanilla soy ice cream. The waitress wrote "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate. (or was it carob?)

Such a wonderful night!

Dinner and a show!!!
Look closely at the guy at the bars butt! ...we did!
