I've often wondered why on Memorial Day we say "Happy Memorial Day".
To me it's an oxymoron...kinda like jumbo shrimp, but I digress.
Today I read the following quote:
"We come, not to mourn our dead soldiers, but to praise them." Francis A. Walker.
It was then that I realized that Memorial Day is a celebration of life. The life of the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Thank you, and G-d Bless all our troops.
What better way to celebrate the lives of these brave men and women than with a bbq? :) We went to Jenn and Stu's for some McFarland burgers!
Stu's family are cattle farmers.
He gets the meat direct from the farm.
Can you say ... ohmygoodnesshowdelicious!!!
My rosemary sweet potatoes and black truffle broccoli.
Stuey Booeys buns and meat. :)
His latest creation...The Mitch burger.
Medium rare with homemade queso. Unreal! (The plain one in the back is mine...and I only had half.)
you look pretty sissy, but not as good as the queso burger
