On the subject of politicians I know, the President of my Senior Class in High School was Robert Wexler. Robert is currently the President of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace. As explained on the http://www.centerpeace.org/ website, Robert served as a Democratic member of Congress for seven terms, representing Florida's 19th district in the U.S. House of Representatives before retiring in January 2010 to lead the Center. Wexler was named one of the "50 Most Effective Legislators in Congress" by Congressional Quarterly and in 2008 was named to the Forward 50 list as one of the most influential leaders in the American Jewish community. In 2008, Congressman Wexler served as an advisor on Middle East and Israel issues to President Barack Obama during his presidential campaign. But the coolest part of Robert is that he is married to another one of my sorority sisters, Laurie C. What an awesome buncha girls we had in that house! Now on to the really important stuff. I was at work, having a relatively productive day, waiting for it to be 6:30pm so I could change into my yoga clothes, when all of a sudden, Sissy called and asked me to join her and her family for dinner. OMG. I haven't been to yoga since last week. There's 3 hour yoga workshop I'm attending this Saturday. I must get back into the groove. There's no way I could miss yoga tonight. I'll just have to say "No thank you!" There's just no way could I make it out for dinner tonight. ...Then she said they were eating at Matteo's.
Yoga Schmoga. I'm off to Matteo's!
There are no words. Matteo's is just divine.
...and when you go with 9 people like we did, you can order all your favorite dishes, have 2 bites of each, and just have a little bit leftover... Yummmmmmmmmmmmm.
Life is good.
Thank you Sissy and BIL. Lu you.
