Today was my Sister's friend Sabrina's, 4th child's, Bar Mitzvah. (She's my friend too, but Sloaney says I stole Lauri and Shelly from her so I'm leaving Sabrina as "Sloane's friend".) Alexander "AJ". (Sabrina has 5 children) AJ did a wonderful job with his Torah reading. The service and party was at EHCC. That's where Sloane and I grew up after moving from NY in the mid 70's. It was weird to be back. Sloane had her sweet 16 in the same room as today's Bar Mitzvah. Shari and Steve (Shari from the Travis Tritt concert) and Donna and Cliff (From the 50th birthday party) both got married there. (I think) It's weird to think of how many years have passed since high school. I know I'm almost 50, but the memories seem like they were made just yesterday. Strange. Good, but weird.

Today in the mail we received an invitation to our friend's son's WEDDING. Ronda and Brian (Cliff's brother) invited us to their son Eric's wedding. Crazy. This is our first friend's kids wedding. Donna and Cliff's daughter Erin is preggers, which means they will be Grandparents very soon! Seems like just yesterday everyone was just being born. Where does the time go?

Today was a beautiful day. Spent surrounded by happiness, dancing, fun, love and family. Who could ask for more than that?

I guess this means I won't be seated at the kids table anymore.

I think I am actually becoming the grown up. Scary.
