Busy busy busy. Today I went to Sissy and Bro's house before work to let the decorator in. I needed to open the house for her. She was meeting the upholsterer who was picking up some furniture he was going to start working on, to begin the new Florida design. I guess that means they may actually be moving down! :) I can't wait! Yayayayay!!!

After that, I went to the office. Worked. Had a meeting. Had a 6 point Smart one. (4 cheese ziti) Small, but yummy. Stayed 'til 7pm, then ran to hot yoga. Loved it tonight. Then ran back to Sissy and Bros house. When I was there in the morning there was a UPS box for Little neph. He was dying to know what it was, so I went back to the house to open it for him...it was a bike chain. Nothing exciting. He was hoping for something cool. Big bummer. And that's all I have to report...

Except..

There is one more very important thing I would like to report on today's blog post...

There was a very special guest at work today...

A beautiful young lady who stopped by after her very busy day at gymnastics camp.

Everyone who reads this blog, please say hello to...

The one...

The only...

The beautiful...

The sweet...

The smart...

The funny...

My friend...

MISS ALIANA !!!!
(Is she the cutest or what???)
She has an adorable little sister named Alessia who wasn't able to join us,
but hopefully one day I'll be able to share her picture with you blog readers too! :)

Worked today. Had a meeting. Had a 4 point Weight Watchers egg sanny and coffee for breaky. Ate a 4 point Smart One for lunch. Had 2 tiny clementines, 2 huge handfuls of trail mix and a big banana. (8 points) Hubs and I went to Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach for dinner with some friends. Had sushi and a salad at Lemongrass. (10 points) Delish! 26 total. Not great, but not too piggish.

Home now. Just trying to relax. It seems like there's so much going on lately. Between hospital stays and doctors' visits for my family and Bat Mitzvahs, college bound kids, new babies, some marital stress, money troubles, senior shows, more breast cancer and new single parenting whoas for my best friends, I feel like every time I pick up the phone there's always something big going on.

Looking on the bright side, without the rain, there wouldn't be rainbows. It can't all be wine and roses, right? I guess that's how life is anyway. Life has its ups and downs. Its ebbs and flows. Its good and bad. I'm actually thankful for times like these because it gives me an opportunity to be a friend back. I have so many fabulous cronies who have always been there for me and it's my pleasure to be a friend back.

Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things. ~Author Unknown

...and I'm glad my friends have boats.

Not too bad today for a Monday. Bossman, Little Bossman and Katie were all out today. I had no choice but to be productive. Ordered Chinese with Tracy F. I had brown rice with steamed chicken and shrimp. Then 2 clementines and a muffin top. Went to hot yoga. Then came home. Hubs is working late tonight so when I got home I just cut up some veggies for dinner. I roasted cauliflower, broccoli and a yam. After I cut the florets off the bark on both the cauliflower and the broccoli, I looked around at the four vultures sitting at my feet. They definitely thought I was in the kitchen making something for them. I gave them some cookies, but they didn't seem satisfied... So I decided to give them each one of the broccoli stalks. OMG! You would have thought I gave them steaks! They were so happy chomping on those stems, I didn't see them for over an hour. Healthy and delicious! What a concept! Maybe I'll call Milk-bone and sell them my idea of healthy dog snacks!

Big neph is back in the hospital. More tests and surgery. I'm so thankful he was able to go to his graduation and the prom! Daddy is out of the hospital, and home. He is doing so much better. The infection, and all its various spores, seem to be getting better. His pain is lessening and hopefully he'll be good as new in no time! That's all I have to report. Tomorrow is my Mom and Dad's 52nd wedding anniversary. Sweet. Love them. Old farts.

Here are a few pics of the puppies munching their broccoli. I couldn't get great pictures, but you'll get the idea. From youngest to oldest. The white Maltese is Jackson (9), Tobias is the black Shih Tzu/Poodle mix (10), Unno is the black Lab/Cocker mix (11) and Tallulah is the red Pomeranian (17). Our babies.

Happy Father's Day!!!

Hope all the Dad's out there enjoyed a wonderful day! Hubs and I celebrated with his family. We drove up to Boynton Beach and ate at the Banana Boat. Fun place. Uncle Steve got a 2 1/2 pound steamed lobster and it looked amazing! He cracked and dipped and shucked and sucked that crustacean for like a full hour! I definitely am craving one now.

Here he is in action. Nice.

Here's Father in Law opening his gifts.

A good time was had by all... Hope you guys all enjoyed time with your families as well. Love and hugs.

Hello blog readers. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Today Hubs and I slept late. We did some errands. Stopped at the shoe man. I had gotten a pair of Tory Burch sandals from eBay, at like 90% off...but they were too tight. Our favorite neighborhood cobbler said he can fix ‘em for me! Yay! Love him!

Also went to get some Father's Day cards, stopped in at my favorite thrifty store, and then back home. I started doing my closets. Packing up some of my "fat" clothes. Organizing and straightening. After all I've been eating the past week or two, I better not tape the boxes too tight. I might need to get to those fat clothes again soon... Hope not!

Speaking of food, tonight was the Hubs' family gathering. (Maternal side) Hubs and me, the in laws, Grandma, and Aunt Judy, two Uncles and a cousin! Uncle Bob came from Ft Bragg, CA. You were introduced to this great man in a previous blog. (I love Uncle Bob to pieces!!!) Aunt Judy and Uncle Steve and one of their three gorgeous daughters, Cousin Stacy, also traveled to be here. (I love them to pieces too!) Awesome family I married into. I'm very lucky. Steve and Judy came from the Atlanta area, and Stacy came from Tampa. They all try to come here at least twice a year. Grandma's birthday is in June so they try to come for that, and then again for Thanksgiving if they can. It's nice. Wish they lived closer.

We went to "SAL'S" in Delray Beach. It was very good!

I had Cavatelli Contessa.
It was cavatelli with chicken, mushrooms, and peas. When I ordered it, I asked the waiter for the Gabadeel Contessa ‘cause that's what my Italian friend Suzanne taught me was the real pronunciation. The waiter looked at me like was a nut and said...you mean the cavatelli? LOL Suzanne would cringe! It was yummo. I only ate half. Brought the rest home. Katie, you're Italian, help a sister out…Which is the right way to pronounce cavatelli? Cava Telli? ...or Gaba Deel?
