Got up about 10am. Puttered around the house a bit. Went to a new place for my hair. Had a cut & color. Looks good. Went to the old place for 7-8 years, then in December my hairdresser left to have a baby. She was out for about 3 months, and I started coloring my hair myself. After a few months of that self service thing, I ended up with crazy 3 tone hair, so I finally called last week to make an appointment. I had scheduled a cut & color for 3:30pm on Saturday, and then I got a phone call..."Suz can't take you at 3:30pm. She needs more time, and we close at 5:00pm. You'll need to come in earlier." So I said "Sure, what time?" "Oh," she says, "She has nothing open 'til next week." WHAT?!? I've been a client (and friend, or so I thought...) for 8 years. I haven't had a haircut in 7 months! ...and they cancelled me? Not nice! So I found a new place to go. Yay fresh new hair! Thanks Marlise!

After hair, I came home to a clean house! Rita's still in Brasil, but Lucy, or "Non-Rita" as Hubs and I call her, came over and made everything beautiful for us. Thanks Lucy! Then Hubs and I went to Mizner Park. We had Starbucks, shopped around a bit, saw a movie and had dinner. We saw the Mark Wahlberg and Will Farrell movie "The Other Guys". Cute! We ate at "Villaggio" the new Italian place that took over Marks spot. Pizza and salad. Pizza was excellent! Loved it. Ran into MIL and FIL at Mizner. They were having dinner so we only hung out a minute or two. Then we ran into my friend Jackie and her family. She's preggers again! Congrats Quita! Now we're home, on the couch, getting ready for SNL. Tomorrow I get BIL and Middle Neph at the airport! Yay! Can't wait to see them! xoxo

Today was work. Bossman's last day for a while. He's going away for a week. His son was invited to participate in the Maccabi games! How cool is that? http://www.jccmaccabigames.org/ Awesome experience and great opportunity. Way to go Maxman! Had sushi with Katie. Did some filing. Summers a bit quiet. It should give me some time to catch up on projects long overdue. After work, Hubs and I went to the gym. Then went to "Sweet Tomatoes" for dinner. Now home watching "Black Snake Moan" with Samuel L. Jackson, Christina Ricci and Justin Timberlake. Crazy movie...but good! Tomorrow is haircut day and Sunday BIL and Middle neph come home! Yayay!

THURSDAYS BLOG

Some of you may have wondered, "Why no blog for Thursday?"

...some of you may not have even noticed...but I am here to report that all is well.

Everything is fine. There was no blog because there were no words.

What I mean is this....I spent the day at the office with Katie's precious little 4 yr old daughter Alessia. She colored and shredded and went to McDonald's and visited. She asked lots of questions and was just the life of the office. She also used the famous blog camera and took a picture of her momma and me.

It was such a nice day being around her little laugh and little smile all day. See how cute she is?

...and when I got home from work, Hubs surprised me! He had taken our baby girl, Tallulah, to the dawgy beauty parlor. She got a gorgeous new haircut! Whaddya think? See? Is she to die for? How cute???

Not much to report today. Worked. Had sushi with Kate again, but today was at our desks. Went to hot yoga. Salad and Smart One for dinner. My Momma sent me a box of shirts today. Love them! Yay new clothes!!! Watching "Covert Affairs" and "The Glades" on our DVR. Two new shows I've been watching. Pretty good ones. That's all for now. Hope you guys are all enjoying life. Peace.

Worked. Had lunch with Katie. Came home. Went to the gym with Hubs. Started on the elliptical machine. Hated it. Did the treadmill for 30 minutes at 3.5 and 2.0 incline. Nice! Went to Chipotle after. Had a burrito bowl. No sour cream, no tortilla. :) Now home. Watching the new NBC show, "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins." I remember, probably around 1995, Bossman met a guy named Dan. Dan was the right hand man to Anthony Robbins. We got tickets to a Tony Robbins event. It was so empowering to be there. I think the event was 16 hours long. Maybe longer. I remember that those hours went by so quickly. Just being in the same room as Tony Robbins was the most extraordinary thing I have experienced...ever! He's handsome. Tall. Loud. Whatever it was about him that kept me engaged, was magical. After listening to Tony Robbins speak, I was so motivated to do more. To do better. To exceed limits. Bossman bought a complete set of tapes, they were cassettes back then. He listened to them over and over. They were cassettes of the event. We could relive that day every time we popped in a tape. After a few months of listening to them everyday, Bossman lent them to me to enjoy. I left them in my trunk. I lost one. I ripped the cover and I didn't listen to them. :( Guess I need another event. I've had a headache since Friday. I think, if I look back on older blogs, that the last time I got the flu, it started as a headache. Well, Vitamin C, here I come! Work was great today! :) Maybe 'cause I didn't do too much of it. I got in at 10:00am. Had lunch with Katie at Rotelli's from 12:00-1:00pm. Then left with Bossman at 3:00pm for yoga! Now that's what I call a workday! Went to Weight Watchers. Stayed the same. I can't seem to get to that 30 pound mark. ...but I'll keep trying. Hubs is working. I had a sandwich for dinner. Watching Color Splash reruns. I wish David Bromstad would come do his magic here. Actually, if I could just meet him, I'd be a happy girl. He's gorgeous and has the absolute best taste! I love him! Wonder what he'd say about my bird collection. :)

Woke up about 11am again today. Hubs brought me delicious coffee in bed. ...and then, at the kitchen table were pancakes. :)

Maybe he was trying to be sure all the batter was properly cooked. Bless his little heart. He tries. Thanks Hon!

After "breakfast", I put on my shopping hat, and headed out to the stores. Loehmann's, Marshall's, DSW and Broadway Shoes. I got some gifts that are long over due. ...and some stuff for myself too, of course.

At the thrifty mart today I scored big! :) I got a gorgeous summer "Isabella Fiore" bag for $4 and a Fendi and MCM make up bag for $6 each. I probably shouldn't tell you all of my thrift stores finds, 'cause you'll think all my shoes, bags and clothes are $5. LOL..Well, it's ok really 'cause I'm so impressed with my ability to find the bargains, I'm happy to share the news.
