Project 365. A year in pictures. A new photo each day. ...or not.

9/5/10

Today was such a nice day! I woke up at 9:30am, got dressed and ran to hot yoga. Love that. I was a little tired this morning but I remembered something Bossman told me last week. I had asked him how he can get himself out of bed so early everyday. (He gets up about 4:00am) He told me that sometimes it's hard, but he thinks of how good he's gonna feel after he works out or goes to yoga and that's all the incentive he needs. Not
just another pretty face that man. That's some good advice! Thanks Bossman! So this morning, even though I was a little sleepy and could have rolled over for another round of snoozing, I got up. I got dressed. I went to yoga...and I loved it! After yoga I ventured to my thrifty stores, but everything looked ugly today. So I went to Publix. Got a text from BIL while there, inviting me to meet the fam at the club, but I was already at the
stores, so I took a rain check. I also invited myself to their place tomorrow for a Labor Day BBQ/pool party. Apparently they had plans to go to the club for a function from 11-3. They invited me too, but I'm going to yoga from 11-1. I told BIL I would be at his house with burgers and roasted veggies around 1pm and start the cooking. I'd see them whenever they got home! LOL...Oh the love of family. So I sautéed some portabello mushrooms and vidalia onions. I'm gonna stuff the yummy mixture, with some Gorgonzola cheese, into the center of my burgers. Delish! (I'll be bringing plain burgers as well.) I also roasted cauliflower and broccoli with fresh garlic cloves. Then I added my secret weapon...Black Truffle Oil. OMG. So amazing! Hopefully, with food like this, they won't mind Hubs and me coming over and using their pool and the BBQ. :) After cooking up a storm, I got a call from Little neph. He and Big neph were going to dinner and asked if I wanted to join them. I thought about it for about a tenth of a second, then ran to get dressed to meet them. Had chicken at "Smokey Bones" and now home on the new couch, with the pups, watching TV. Ah. This is the life!
