Who missed me?

I know some of you out there actually read this. Thank you Lynne, Katie and Donna for asking about my missing blog days! Whooooo Hoooooo!

"They like me! They really really like me!"

Well, needless to say, I have been partying like a rock star since Friday. Turning 50 was the most awesome thing I've ever done!!! Friday began with my desk decorated to the fullest at the office. Then the girls took me to lunch at "Rocco's Tacos" Fresh homemade guacamole made right at the table! Yum. Friday night was happy Hour at "Millers Ale House" with the guys from the office. Well, there were some girls too, but when you see my pictures, you'll think it was just me and the boys! After Happy Hour was the family. Met Hubs' parents at "Lilly's" for birthday dinner.

As for the presents! Oh my! I received gifts galore. From my hubby, I got a gift certificate to my favorite spa, and a new key chain for my gorgeous new car (Blaine) ...my friend Tracy named the car Blaine. She said it was very yuppy and needed a yuppy name like Blaine. ...and so it was written. Sis and bro in law sent me amazing diamond earrings! I also received candles, and powders, and gift cards and lunch IOU's and flowers and a sarong and beautiful earrings and a bracelet from the in laws, and an amazing yoga mat from bossman! It was an awesome day!

Then Saturday Hubs took me to "Butterfly World". I had never been there before. It's this beautiful place where butterflies, hummingbirds and other aviary wonders fly free. There was also the most wonderful array of tropical plants and flowers. I took lots and lots of pictures! After, we went to "Aruba Beach Cafe" for wine and shrimp and lobster salad. Fabulous!!! Then, as if we didn't already have a day of fun, we then went down to Ft. Lauderdale to the theater. We saw "Mary Poppins". My life long bestie, Shelly, was there with her two beautiful daughters, Meagan (my G-ddaughter) and Hallee Rachel. The show was good. The stage design and special effects were amazing! I wish they had updated the songs a little. It seemed a little outdated for me, but it was such a nice evening out! After the show we went to Denny's for a midnight snack. As the clock struck midnight, and the golden anniversary of my natal birth had officially arrived, Hubs and I were chowing down a Grand Slam breakfast at Denny's! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Happy delicious birthday gorgeous!

Sunday came and Hubs had to go to work. I slept late and then went on Facebook. I must have had 400 birthday messages..and I answered each one personally. (I didn't just throw up a general "Thanks for the b'day love" status.) I was overwhelmed. I felt so special. I felt so loved. I am blessed. ...and oh so thankful for everything!!! Truly. No BS. Ok. Where was I? Oh, I know...so later on, at about 4, Hubs and I left to go down to Ft Lauderdale to the Westin Hotel on the beach. One of my lifetime besties, Lauri Beth, was making her daughter her Bat Mitzvah! It was a beautiful affair. Deli recited her Haftorah flawlessly, and the party was unbelievable. What a way to end the most wonderful birthday weekend!!!
Then of course Monday came. Back to work. It was then that Katie remembered that she forgot to bring out my cake on Friday, so the celebration continued. Fruit salad, song and cake. It was the best week ever! With lots of love, presents and cake! ...and lots of candles to wish on!

Big neph got to walk at graduation and receive his diploma on Sunday, and tonight is his prom! I got a text from his Daddy with a photo. He looked so handsome! I'm so glad he was able to attend both graduation and prom.

...Maybe birthday wishes do come true...

I'm having trouble posting pictures tonight, so Here are Fridays pics. I will post Saturday's tomorrow. xoxo
